Visit the dinning room on Thursday 20 October at 12.30h

Visit the dining room by two members of the PTA on Thursday 20 at 12.30.
First when you enter the dining area you encounter a clean, spacious and bright area only for this use.
The nursery and reception groups are accommodated amongst a few benches and tables appropriate to their needs, all in uniform with aprons and they were served in metal trays which had different compartments for different foods.
The trays are already waiting on tables when they enter the room. For Year 1 students the trays are also waiting on tables as for the younger students yet .Y2 & Y3 were going straight for the counter and they were served in their metal trays and coupled together in two rows along tables in the center.
They only had to get their cutlery and napkins
To facilitate the organization Yr 1 teacher have put their names behind the chairs and so always use the same seat. Water jugs and cups are placed on the tables. Year 1 students were also withdrawing their trays before leaving for the recreational area. There were monitors and some teachers always aware when the children finished eating and were also awaiting the stragglers.
There is a (Golden table) which rewards those who have had a remarkable attitude. There are four places here to award children for good merit. There is also a system of rewards and stickers for the kids who have tried a dish for the first time. Between 1 and 1.30 pm. tables are cleaned for the second shift which is from year 4 onwards. They line up followed by a teacher who checks that the row is in order and the children are well behaved. They all use individual trays and are served on a plate which also removed before leaving.
The food is tasty, mild flavored and we believe appropriate to the ages along with amounts also provided to them.
The day’s menu was a seasoned potato salad and for second there was fried hake sticks garnished with fresh grated carrots. The dessert that was indicated on the menu was ice cream but was replaced by yogurt.
Tabled were shared with teachers in a relaxed atmosphere and the headmaster was interested in attending and  urged any parent who wishes to share a visit to the dining room to do so.
Throughout the duration of the visit we did not see any children crying or uncomfortable to the contrary they were all laughing and well manners.
This have been our observations, we hope they are helpful.
